Stuck on Daydream or Frustration Island?
Are you currently in a job that does not fulfill you? Are you unfulfilled in your current relationship or by the absence of relationship? Do you really wish you had a better relationship and then perhaps then your life would be better?
Do you have an idea for a product and services and believe that it could be successfully commercialized?
Sound familiar? Are you ready to do something about your situation? I would like to share 6 steps that will allow you to successfully transition from that position of feeling “stuck” into action.
1. Be clear about what you want and why you want it
The first step is finding clarity. Most people are unclear about what they want. They have an ideal but when asked to describe it, they are very vague. Imagine yourself walking into a restaurant and asking for “some food”. How likely are you to get what you want?
2. Vizualise and idealize
Once you know what you want, imagine you had it already. Describe in your mind how it would feel, how your life would look like, what sounds you would hear… See it everyday!
3. Believe in yourself, create a plan and take the first step
Now that you have this clear picture and feeling in your mind, ink it! Create a plan and take action!
4. Stay focused, committed and persistent
Once you have made up your mind, taken action, be persistent. One key
mistake a lot of people make is that they want the results now! Not everything
works like that. Stay committed and keep on going.
5. Be grateful for what you have achieved and celebrate your milestones
Keep track of what you have achieved and give yourself a pat on the back for being successful!
6. Surround yourself with supportive people
Surround yourself with mentors, coaches, supportive friends and family that
can encourage you on your way and most importantly, can hold you
accountable for what you want to achieve.
